People looking for scrap in gardens.

Saw a lorry with two looking unsavory characters, driving along the road, looking for scrap metal.  They were looking through rubbish that was visible, in peoples gardens.  The vehicle was a small open lorry, colour white, Reg No MT 54 DXZ.

Presumably if they were taking anything from others front gardens, that is theft.  Although they are doing a recycling job I suppose.Did you report this to the police?

I also saw these people in Goldsmith Avenue.  Gypsies perhaps?  So beware don't leave your unlocked bike in your front garden - It won't be there when you come back!

I was very grateful when two similar men removed a gigantic, disgusting and non-working oven from my front garden, along with a load of rubbish from a building project. Saved me loads if I'd had to pay someone to take it away!

A reminder - everyonehas a responsibity to dispose of such items in the right and proper fashion, ie via a proper waste disposal site.  Should these folk who take away your rubbish decide they don't want what they have taken from you and dump them round the corner, you will be responsible.
