VANS GRAFFITI TUESDAY NIGHT

ABOUT 7.30 AM THIS MORNING I CAME OUT OF MY HOUSE ON GOLDSMITH AVENUE AND TO MY HORROR MY VAN AND MY NEIGHBOURS VAN HAD BEEN GAFFITIED IN A BLUE AEROSOL.I DIDNT REPORT IT AS I NEEDED TO GET TO WORK AND THATS WHEN MY LUCK CHANGED.A CHAP I WORK WITH GAVE ME A REMEDY TO REMOVE THE AEROSOL BEFORE IT GOT TOO DRY(IT DID HOWEVER FEEL DRY) THE REMEDY==== WITH A SOFT CLOTH ,POUR CELLULOSE THINNER ON TO A SOFT CLOTH AND RUB OFF .THEN ON ANOTHER SOFT CLOTH POUR METH SPIRITS AND WASH OFF CELLULOSE THINNERS AND FINALLY WASH OFF METH SPIRITS WITH WARM SOAPY WATER....MY VAN IS NOW PERFECT AGAIN I CONTACTED MY NEIGHBOUR AND TOLD HIM AND HIS VAN IS ALSO LOOKING GREAT AGAIN. P.S MY VAN IS ONE YEAR OLD AND THIS REMEDY WORKED FOR ME BUT IF PER CHANCE SOMETHING GOES WRONG WITH YOUR PAINTWORK DONT COME LOOKING FOR ME IM JUST TRYING TO HELP IF YOU HAVE THE SAME MISFORTUNE....

Gerald did you report this act of vandalism to the Police?  Else it will not appear on their statistics and therefore it won't be registered as a problem in the area.

i reported it today thursday at 5.20pm and they will contact our community officers.

The wall at the beginning of Goldsmith Ave and the fence near the width-restriction has also been graffitied.  We've reported it to the Council.My experience is that, if you report all graffiti to the Council for removal, no matter how small, the perpetrators get fe-up and stop.  For years.  This is probably the first graffiti we've had in many years, due to people reporting and removing graffiti.  Zero tolerance.

So true Angela. And the council ate still good at removing graffiti quickly once reported.Luckily graffiti-ists seem to have short attention span and are quite easily daunted!

I doubt very much the 'tagging' of a vehicle in Acton is anything to do with drug dealing. most likely bored teenagers.
