Angela Malik

Changing the layout of the front of the shop/deli/cafe again!  How many permutations can you have for such a small area,  is it not causing confusion as to what the front of the shop area is?  Does she even know......time will tell.I do hope it is not a sign of floundering as it does add to that corner of Churchfield Rd and I love to get cake treats there.  But all this chopping and changing does worry me.  It is different every time I go there.

It was supposed to re-open today but from the look of it - with work still going on at 2100 last night - it wouldn't be ready.Maybe she has decided to major more on the cafe side - her coffee is the best around and the cakes are fab - and now there's that great awning.I do wish she had gone for the restaurant at the old Albion.

Well I noticed the awning said cafe now and they seemed a few weeks back to be encouraging people to sit inside where the cook school area is (I don't think that worked)so I think she realizes cafe is the way forward but more seating needs to be inside at the front perhaps?  I tried her red velvet cake as you had mentioned it aahhhh what a mistake,  it's delicious!Months back it was a dreadful set up with what felt like an office at the front and I felt like I was disturbing them to ask for a cake.

Had virgin slice of red crack cake today and am back at junkie level.The coffee is, IMHO, the best in Acton.And the new layout is fab - about 9-12 indoor seats for when the weather cools.

I noticed La Viande is also selling coffee now - anyone tried it?If Angela Malik uses the Guatemalan Weanie beans they sell, they do make excellent coffee.

Angela now seems to have quite a lunch menu. The "very full" tart looked delicious yesterday but I haven't tried it. The sweet potato galette is yummy.And service from Italian Betty is charming.
