Anyone know what's happening with The Sheepwalk Tavern? I saw all scaffolding going up.

Was just wondering the same...conversion to flats maybe? It would be a prime location.

I thought the same.

Asked one of the builders.Doing up the flats above and, looking to lease the pub as a going concern...no interest about taking on the pub. Hooray!

What about the old court house? There's scaffolding all over that too

The Magistrates Court is being turned into housing - read the details somewhere but can't remember where...

could be a nice pub

Met someone at the AGM on Wednesday who wanted to re-open it as a nice pub but apparently its too far down the road of becoming flats to reverse.

More flats, just what Acton needs.Presumably they'll be of the usual high, spacious and sympathetic to the environment standards.

Who knowsWhat about the ones in the Magistrates Courts. They presumably have to comply with listing but I don't know if that helps
Is this an old listing then? Says it's still available as a pubhttp://www.jamesabaker.co.uk/showproperty,833,1.htm

This place as you know used to be the King William IV.Known locally as Skeggs's after John Skeggs who lived there in the 1860's and whose family took it over I believe. It was a bit of a rough and ready pub when I lived in Acton 1978-1981 and then from 1986-1991.
