Lots of fireworks.....10.20pm!

Someone has let off many fireworks over the past 15 mins with no sign of let-up.  It's 10.20pm and my 4 year old is in bed with school tomorrow.  I'm sure I'm not the only parent cursing this selfish neighbour, whoever they are. What possesses someone to do this?  The woman who said 10pm was far too late for trick or treat was absolutely right.  I don't have the liberty of airing my views to these inconsiderate people, but if I did......my little girl is awake again, gotta go, cat's not in either.

Husband tells me it's the people a few doors down.....they aren't young either!  Selfish.  They've stopped now, it seems.  Tried to force husband out of door to protest but strangely enough he wasn't having any of it.

Real trouble is.....husband has already been to that particular house twice before anyway, re noise!  Actually, I can't moan, he is very brave.  Too brave sometimes!

Many years ago we had firework night - now it seems as though it's firework fortnight at least.  Also fireworks in Shaa Road, but at least it was earlier.  I pity poor pet owners who do their best to keep animals indoors - difficult when 5 Nov is so extended.

Diwali yesterday so nothing to do with Nov 5th I don't think and the 'fireworks in a box' are so readily available in all the supermarkets and do much easier to use than fireworks of old I think more individuals are having private parties and displays.

I could hear the fireworks in Grafton road from where we are and it went on until way past midnight.  I don't care if it's Halloween, Guy Fawkes night or Diwali, it is inconsiderate and damn right ignorant.  I hope you took them to task, Nicola?
