Technical advice needed

Does anyone know how I include pictures in my posts?

Firstly, your image needs to be already on-line, or uploaded to one of numerous free utilities.I used http://tinypic.com for this demo.The web address (URL) of image below is :-    http://i48.tinypic.com/15gt99k.jpg----------------------------------------------------------------------------      So to post the above  image,  I replace  'URLhere' ,  with  :-      http://i48.tinypic.com/15gt99k.jpg     then cut and paste the code into my message.    P.S. An image won't appear in the FIRST post of a thread unless you omit the quotes " "

Size your picture to aprox 5 inches at 150 dpi.  Upload to FLICKER (you need to create an account, name and e-mail address.)Once the pic is uploaded, click on it, click share, copy the HTML code, go to forum article, click paste.As Fred said, it does not work on the first string, unless you remove all the """"".  Once the string has started it's easy peezy.WARNING. Fred and myself know how to play around with each others pictures, always a good laugh!

Internet, it's a dodgy place, rumours and stuff. Folks, she is of course, referring to the innocent use of image editing facilities such as Photopshop , in a purely on-line capacity, for the Acton forum.Pheww ! !

Oh well, that saves me £190 for the upgrade disc.  I'll wait for CS7 before I upgrade.  That's the trouble with the full version, too much that is not used and, then they try to flog you the upgrade for more unused filters etc.  Mind you, the full version is much better than Elements.  Just as well I have a powerful computer, images in camera, around 25 - 30 meg, in RAW, open Photoshop 100 meg files.  Ouch.

May I ask anther question Fred?  When code is placed on the post and I submit, can I preview the picture, or does it only show when it is posted live? I can only see the image code at present?

I often use  http://htmledit.squarefree.com   to test code.  It's a handy on-line HTML editor.However, I've noticed there's a long, long thread on the Wandsworth forum, being used for the same purpose. :o/
