Call re Burglar & Medical Alarms in Goldsmith Avenue tomorrow

I have just had a phone call trying to persuade me to sign up for a "free" alarm system.  On close questioning it turns out it would cost £299 to install and at least £5 per week afterwards.  He was very slick in his presentation and explanation of how the police prefer this type of system and they provide it for free.Be warned!

there was a woman knocking on doors in the Goldsmith area last night............if you are not expecting anyone - ignore the knocking and hopefully these cold callers will get the message and try another a area.

Today's chap with the clipboard who knocked claiming to be from some National Government sounding organisation gave our neighbours name as having already signed up and wanted to get our names and to sign us up too.  Strangely it was for loft insulation and as the neighbours house is the same as ours has a flat roof so no loft we were intrigued /disbelieving.

On Grafton Rd last night, trying to sign up an elderly disabled gentleman.  Wouldn't take NO for an answer, until I intervened.  Don't know if he was more afraid of me, or the dog!
