Pollution levels creeping up...Again.

All of a sudden the level has gone from Green 2 to level Orange 4, around the industrial site.  All this has happened within the last hour.  What is going on?

The wind has changed and is now blowing from the Estate directly ON to the monitor, hence the higher (accurate!) readings. For the past several days it has been blowing generally from the Western Avenue, and not registering high pollution levels ............... go figure.The Nitrogen Dioxide levels also seem to  have been creeping up.But of course our paid representatives in Ealing Council and The Environment Agency are seriously concerned about our well being and are heavily on the case and will soon stop this pollution in its tracks.Fat chance.

There's a letter in the Telegraph today from Matthew Pencharz (Mayor of London's Environment Adviser) in response to someone complaining that nothing was being done to improve London's air quality. He said: 'In September, the Government reported that London was compliant with the EU standards for PM10 for the first time. Last week, the mayor announced a £20 million Air Quality Fund to help London boroughs tackle local pollution hotspots'.I e-mailed him to him to ask what he advises we do about our high PM10 levels in Acton. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable could reply to his T'graph letter? Rosco?

Last week, the mayor announced a £20 million Air Quality Fund to help London boroughs tackle local pollution hotspots'.How much will be given to Ealing Council and will it be used to tackle the problem?  Could there be more POTS on the way?The only way the PM 10 issue on and around Horn Ln, would be reduced/solved is to re-locate the industrial site, somewhere to an unpopulated area, such as Park Royal, like Standard Rd.After listening again, to the audio, of Julian Bell, Acton is not a priority, nor would it seem is our health.
