Happy days!Ugly monstrosities - I will be glad to see them go. Although I doubt what goes up in their place will be beautiful, at least they won't be as depressing as the ones there now.

Does it say when the demolition is scheduled? I thought Charles Hocking House and Hardy Court weren't due until 2015 at the earliest. Sooner the better. Bring it on.

I remember the last time they demolished one of those tower blocks. We all went to watch and it was very dramatic so well worth checking the dates in advance.
That was Barrie House - which they dynamited. They won't be able to do that with these blocks - it'll be a long, slow demolition with jackhammers and months of noise and dust.
Think Boycey from Only Fools and Horses pushed the plunger as these building were used for the opening scenes of the commedy.
