CPZ Milton Rd - conflict with planning
It seems that the Council's planning dept gave consent for a driveway which allow off street parking by drivign over park of CPZ marked area in Milton Rd - Effectively this makes part of the CPZ redundant and the council has advised anyone parking there and obstructing the driveway will get a ticket! The planning teams seems to think this is quite acceptable - Julian Bell is aware of the issue and a petition will be put together for signatures in order for the coucnil to reverse this seemingly unlawful action or to provide an alternative solution. One solution would be to remove the restrictive loading (2) bays within the CPZ as these were planned for at a tiem when the CPZ effective daily time-period ran for much longer and when the shops did not have the purpose built loading bays on Chruchfirld road - parking is becoming an increasing concern for those that pay CPZ and these cavalier unilateral actions of the planning dept have eroded this without fair process.
