Fly Tipping again!!!

Once again it looks as though the contents of someone's flat has been dumped on the pavement outside Jay Vee Newsagents (corner of Grafton Road/Horn Lane) over Christmas.Mr Patel said the fly Tipped stuff arrived outside his property on Christmas Day - what a lovely present from some kind soul (NOT).There was a wardrobe (which has since disappeared) a wooden bed and headboard, a wooden cupboard and about 20 or more black bags and assorted rubbish!I rang Streetwatchers today but they are only open for a short time tomorrow so I sent them an email. I just hope they manage to catch the culprits and make an example of them. (Some hope!)Mr Patel asked for a camera on this corner which is a continuous  rubbish tip but apparently there is a shortage of cameras to cover Ealing Borough.Sometimes it feels like we are fighting a losing battle but will plod on anyway!

Photographed it. Took dog to park and, when I got back it was gone.  It was the worse case so far.  Will post pics later.

Well done Nicola! I had a feeling you would be on the case!Poor Mr Patel is absolutely fed up finding rubbish dumped on his doorstep and there is very little that we can do to stop it.A good idea would be for the Council to send someone to just watch this area, photograph the culprits and then fine them heavily. It is a shame we no longer have the Environment Officer as he has been moved to another part of the borough.It is no use just removing the fly tipped items, someone needs to go through the black bags and look for evidence, otherwise this will happen again and again.Please do post the picture Nicola and I shall tell Streetwatchers that they can look on this forum to see one of the worst cases of dumping in this area for a long time.Sadly the 2 warning signs on the wall outside Mr Patel's shop have not stopped this constant problem, obviously those responsible have no fear of ever being caught and punished.Any ideas on how to resolve this problem folks?

This is obviously rubbish from a flat/house move.  Council Officers should:- firstly ask around - someone must know who has/is moving.- no response, open all the bags in order to find some    evidence of those dumping- if evidence found prosecute them and publicise that this is unacceptable anti-social behaviour that will not be tolerated by the Council/local residentsFailing that, a letter should be put through all the nearby doors telling residents that this behaviour is unacceptable and those caught will be prosecuted.Looks from the photograph that possibly it comes from the house with the scaffolding outside, else, from the volume, from the flats above Mr. Patel's shop!

There's no evidence it's from nearby - this sort of fly-tipping is often done by a truck and, according to one streetwatcher meeting I went to, could be from some distance away.I don't think local leafleting - apart from to ask people to keep an eye out - is very helpful.After all, Doris, you've already accused poor Mr Patel and his family!

Nicola thanks for posting the photographs of the mess which was left outside Mr Patel's shop. Unfortunately I suspect that no-one would have checked through the black bags for evidence if the stuff was just taken away by Enterprise.What a shame if so because it would have been great to catch the people responsible.
