The Acton Arms

I spent New Year's Eve there (original plans went awry due to flu bugs) and I was very pleasantly surprised.  Despite Sara's disparaging review, the food was amazing - much better than The Rocket.  12 of us for dinner all agreed on that one.  The atmosphere was lovely, with a huge roaring log fire warming the room.  I never though I'd spend a NYE in the Redback, but I loved it and it will definitely give the Rocket a run for its money.

We had some very tasty food there a couple of weeks ago and it sounds as if they've got the broken heating fixed. Very friendly service and a good range of ales too. I'm glad to add it to my personal list of favourite Acton pubs: George & Dragon, Station House and The Rocket.

How's the food at the George at the moment - I know its changed hands not so long ago?Went on for a drink recently but no-one seemed to be eating.

James went there for Christmas dinner with his friends, they all said it was 'fantastic', mind you that probably means 'lots and cheap'

Some advice when reviewing a restaurant/service: if you like it, tell us. I f you don't, tell THEM.
