New Creperie opening hours?

After hearing about the new creperie I promised my children an after school treat but when we arrived at around 3.45pm today it was closed, and I am not a popular Mother today....Does anyone know what the opening hours are? Thanks in advance...

It was open today at 11.30am. The sign on the door says it is open from 9.00am Monday to Saturday and 11.00 on Sunday, but as others have found, that is not always true!

Does it say until what time?I'm writing a piece on the new businesses in Churchfield Road for the community association newsletter so need to find these details for all the opening places - and there are a number of them.

right next to the lebanese restaurant and the funeral place, right hand side of Churchfield Road as you go up towards Morisson's, near the Pizza take-away.

I walked past on the way home from work and thought umm maybe I will try one but it was shut!  I wonder why they are not open in the evening,  surely people are more inclined to eat a crepe in the eve than 9.00 am?  Do they just do sweet ones or savoury too?It did look lovely when I walked by and it was open,  charming little place.  I hope they do well.

They do sweet and savoury, went in on Sunday and it was empty. Other people did come in for takeaways and to sit down - it's not very big though. The crepes were nice - I had cinnamon and sugar, my partner -  Nutella and banana. The coffee was good too (they do decaff as well). Their hours do seem a bit odd and with three staff I wonder if they can last. I wish them every success, but evening opening even until 8 would seem sensible.

Businesses need to realise how damaging it is for them not to stick to advertised opening hours. Random opening and unexplained closures used to be a problem with the café in Acton Park too, though I haven't tried recently. Which says it all, really, as people stop bothering.

I agree,  Vanilla had problems with erratic opening and it just puts you off going.  Perhaps there are just teething probs with the crepe place though as it has just opened.

I think it would be good to give them a chance, teething problems do occur, as last person wrote, and the more we'll support them the sooner it might all run quite smoothly. We for one will venture there tomorrow, nothing quite like a hot crepe with snow falling outside!

I agree Jen - being erratic opening killed Vanilla which was a shame. And Lavelli's is amazingly consistent. I do hope Nara follows the latter example as that will help (but not ensure) it flourish. I dont suppose they have any clear idea yet when demand is liekely to be high or low.

I had a most delicious coffee and 'salted caramel crepe' there today, very tasty indeed; the place was heaving, all tables and bar occupied, I guess Saturday midmorning is likely to be a bit of a rush hour - well worth the short wait though!

I think it does really well at weekends...perfect trip out with the kiddies. But the only time I went in for mid-week lunch, it was empty.

Both. I have only tried two savoury so far but the sweet look tempting. there are maybe about eight of each.

I went and food was nice but the atmosphere was a bit dull. Staff watching what we did and then cleaning up around us as we ate. It was off putting.

I was looking forward to a coffee and a crepe yesterday and saw that although it was open, there were drills and posters over the tables and it looked like they were more involved in DIY, Oh well... so off I went to Angela Malik's and had one of her Fabulous samosas with homemade tomato and chilli chutney. Delicious and very filling!

Called in there today and it's all very nicely decorated but only 3 tables.Nice coffee but in the smallest cups ever.The two guys not that friendly though.

Well they lost my business at lunchtime today as they were closed! Shutters were down and no sign to say why. Not good and that's what put me off Vanilla-it was often closed.

I thought it was clear that it doesn't open Mondays - it's certainly been published both here and in the community association newsletter.So it would be a bit unfair if your custom was lost for good.It's open Tuesday - Sunday

In fairness, you can't expect everyone to look here or a CCA newsletter (not everyone is a member) to find opening hours for all the local shops.  It's entirely reasonable to expect a retailer to be open on a Monday after all.

Lots of the hairdressers/beauty salons aren't open Mondays - nor is Tim the butcher. And some restaurants don't open Mondays.I think its because of more widespread Sunday opening. A small business person has to have some time off.But lets hope Taj isn't part of that trend as am off to try it out.

Popped in for a coffee today and after reading here about the not so friendly staff, I have to say I was v pleasantly surprised. The chap who served me was lovely and couldn't have been nicer.

Went back to the new creperie for lunch and, while both slow and under-staffed, the crepe itself was delicious and both better filled and more substantial than I recall from the first couple of weeks.And it wasn't empty which was good.
