Fish and chips

There is a chip shop on church field opposite the electrical shop, my husband says they are ok

Shams  at the Morrisons end of churchfield road is very good and reasonable price too.

The food from the Acton Town fish & chip shop is excellent. Exit from Acton Town tube station and turn left and it is just a couple of shops along.

+1 for Shams, hes been there for decades!There is also another new-ish chippy near Acton Town station (turn left to the parade of shops)

We tried the Acton fish and Chip shop last week and it was thumbs up all round. Friendly service, excellent batter and lovely chips. Mushy peas were good too although apparently not appreciated down here in London as much as in Manchester.

Easily the best was Tony's at the top of Horn Lane near the A40. But it's just closed. Real loss to the area. Anyone know why it closed?

The best fish definitely in Gunnersbury Lane just past Acton Town  station. The chips are a bit soggy , but all else on offer great. Also enormous helpings . One portion is enough for two.

There is a very good fish & chip shop in Turnham Green Terrace, just down from the station on the other side of the road, towards Chiswick High Road.  It's not Acton but not too far away, E3 goes there, unless they have changed the bus number, years ago it was 55.

we often get fish and chips from our local on Churchfield Road, near Trading Village and it is ALWAYS fresh and tasty!

I'm envious as I live in Louisiana now.  Although we do have great seafood here but it's not skate & chips!

I can not any one who makes decent chips. They are always so soggy. I don't think you can get chips like home made ones any more, HELP !!
