Shepherds Bush buses.

Has anyone tried to get a bus to Acton from Shepherds Bush Central Line station recently? I duly crossed the road to the shopping centre opposite to be met by series of Bus Stop Out of Action signs where buses still stopped. Chaos. Motorists were well informed before the road up mayhem, but we public transport users have not been helped Transport For London should sort out the current mess and inform us on well written signs.

I had this email from TFL on 15th Jan, you need to get on their circulation list.......Dear Mr Muir, I am writing to let you know that from Monday 28 January, Shepherd’s Bush Green will be closed westbound between Holland Park Roundabout and Rockley Road for about a month. This is due to gas main replacement works being carried out by North London Gas Alliance. Westbound traffic will be diverted via the A3220, A40, Savoy Circus, Old Oak Road, Askew Road and Goldhawk Road. Serious congestion is likely in the area, particularly during the evening peak hours. Some local buses will be diverted or use alternative bus stops. Diversion routes will be clearly signposted and Variable Message Signs will be in place providing updates. You are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for your journeys. I'm afraid the TFL letter sounds comforting. But my point is that there are no helpful notices. Bus Stop Not In Use, but buses regularly still stopping there. Where is the 207 meant to stop ? etc etc. Official letter soothing but nothing in place!

There is a temporary stop for the 207 westbound a few metres up from the usual stop situated outside the old shopping centre and near Jimbucks cafe.

On Monday the 207 and 607 were still calling at the bus station (White City?) outside the north-western corner of Westfield, then turning south down Wood Lane, along the north side of the green, through the bus-only cut through to the south side and stopping by Jumbucks.
