Illegal Parking Suspensions
Fascinated to read the front page article about Ealing Council's illegal parking suspensions.I am in the process of fighting exactly this.Before Christmas parked my car on Spencer Road - for which I have a pass.I was then fined - because there was a "temporary suspension". This, it turned out, was written in small print on a yellow sign - which was located further down the street. I hadn't seen the sign and had no idea that I was illegally parked. I thought I was doing everything right - and still got a fine.I am getting fed up of this. I understand the need for a parking scheme - and pay my cash like everyone else. But over the years I have received a number of tickets - for tiny infractions in areas for which I have a legal pass. Eg - parking with my wheel two inches over the line.
