Don Arancino, the Italian coffee shop/deli in Acton Town station, is nice and friendly. Good coffee and very good arancini (rice balls with fillings - these are not the dainty little things you get in Carluccio's, they are the big hearty kind we found in a backstreet cafe in Venice!)Jungles Cafe (formerly Acton Town Cafe) and Jump In Jack's might not win any prizes for gourmet food or coffee, but they are good local caffs with friendly staff.I've never got on with Coffee Etc. The two times I have attempted to have poached eggs there have been dismal failures. On the first occasion, despite specifying that I wanted them soft, they were rock-hard. When I complained, they were taken away and slightly less hard versions brought back. After another complaint I was told 'that's how poached eggs are supposed to be'. Well, I'm married to a chef and I know how poached eggs are supposed to be, thank you.In a spirit of optimism I tried the same thing again a few weeks ago - with the same result. The former Poco Loco is now Cafe Dee-Lite, and isn't quite sure what it wants to be. I think if they can aim for the same standards and style as the Churchfield Cafe, they would do well.
