Helen Mirren in "the Audience"

is wholly fab - what a tour de force. the Prime Ministers - especially Harold Wilson - are good. The script is by Peter Morgan (nuff said), it's directed by Stephen Daldry and the corgis are cute.Only running about four months (according to the corgi trainer we met with his charges on the tube) so book before the reviews come out.

Coo tickets are expensive. I'm used to £12 at the National and resent paying more!

they are but it's a large and eminent cast, ace director and Peter Morgan script.. Plus corgis.Worth more than most. In fact, compared to lots I have recently, not a bad deal. Saw Captain of Kor whatever) at the NT recently - free tickets and expensive in using up a whole evening!

Saw 'The Audience' last Thursday. A really entertaining evening and more thought provoking than might at first appear. Most West End theatres are quite expensive, but I agree, this play is worth the ticket price.

We saw it on Monday and agree it was brilliant. Before it started Steven Daltry came on stage with an announcement of some bad news, the whole theatre held its breath thinking that Helen Mirren wasn't going to appear but it was to say Robert Hardy has dropped out due to ill health, one of the other actors took his place and did a fantastic job. You can get Day Tickets at £10 each, there are 16 each day and I would guess the same for when there is a matinee.

Probably, I don't think anyone would want to see anyone else in that part no matter how good they are.
