Garbage collection in W3? What the hell is going on?

Yet another week where the garbage is collected poorly.About half the bags in the street were missed.Reporting it to the council will send out a van to collect from *just the house that is was reported from* and the rest will be missed.Does anyone know who to contact over this?

In my block of flats, the black bags have not been collected 14 weeks running. Every week the bins get put out, it doesn't get collected and I have to report a missed collection.Contact who you want, but my experience is no one cares at Ealing Council. I have made several complaints, after which I get some bog-standard letter saying people have been spoken to and my address has been put on the "area supervisor's checklist", but nothing changes. The last time the rubbish was collected on the right day was in mid-November.Ealing Council are happy to blame Enterprise, but that suits them. There is a big department run by an officer on a six-figure salary who should be sorting this out, but my experience time and time again is that they do nothing about it.

Try tweeting Bassam Mahfouz @BassamMahfouz and Julian Bell @juliangbell using the hashtag #enterprisefail or just #failSeems to get some response sometimes. It's more direct than the formal routes.I'll do it from @CCAssoc1 as well.You can also copy in your local councillors.

Tell you what, power of this forum maybe. No sooner did I post something on here, that my rubbish get collected on the correct day for the first time in 15 weeks, but I also got a personal visit from an Enterprise representative. Happy days!

I wish it would work for me! I pay Ealing Council for garden waste to be collected: either it isn't, and I have to take the time to chase them up and report yet another non-collection (as this week) or else, when it is collected, they leave the wheelie bin out on the public footpath... This is a service for which they receive money - you wouldn't tolerate such behaviour from any other kind  of contractor, but they know they have you over a barrel (or a wheelie bin) so they just don't care. I have a file of letters going back months assuring me things will improve, but they don't. It's not good for my blood pressure...  :-(

I live in a development of flats  and our rubbish hasn't been collected for 4 weeks. The communal bin houses are full to capacity, the only thing that's fitting in are the rats!! I have rang the missed refuse line 6 times and have been told the rubbish will be collected by end of business the next day, which hasn't happened. I also requested a call back from a manager on 2 occasions and haven't received them either.There is a real health risk attached to this issue and Ealing Council seem to be taking no notice.  Maybe withholding or deducting Council Tax until issue is resolved might get their attention!!!!

Garden waste collection started again at the end of January: though it was collected on the correct day, the wheelie bin was left out in the middle of the public footpath (as usual). I complained (as usual) and a fortnight later it was collected on the correct day and the bin replaced inside the gate - a very unusual occurence.This week it still remains uncollected after an email complaint (yesterday) and a phone call follow-up (today)...

After a further phone call today the garden waste is still awaiting collection... And to add insult to injury, they have just sent an invoice for the next payment! If it was anyone else, they would have found themselves in the small claims court by now for not fulfulling the current contract - I shall certainly not be sending them another payment with any haste.

What about some sort of financial compensation system, like the Tube offers for delays and cancellations?  Fill in paperwork to get a fare refund, but at least something back and it hits the business on the bottom line. What sort of charge?  £5 for each missed household?  Would that compensate for having to phone the council, etc.?

My garden waste was collected today, 6 days late. I had to report it three times last week. I am seriously considering deducting a small sum for every failure (and I have a log going back to last summer) from this year's invoice for garden waste collection...Why should we pay for a service we are not receiving? Not so easy when it's a council tax funded service, but a separately invoiced service - that's a different matter!
