Interesting in walking?

I am planning a spring project of walking the South Downs way and hoping to find a companion or two. The intention is to do the walk in three or four sections over April and May, usually on Saturdays.  Always finding a nice place for lunch or dinner. Possibly staying overnight in a B&B once or twice. Anyone interested? Be lovely to do this with a little group

Try walking with the Saturday Walkers Club (search google). They do walks at the weekend - just catch the right train and bring the directions (there is no leader). It's a good way to meet keen walkers. Also the Ramblers.

Thanks for this Pete. I do sometimes walk with groups and it is a good way to have company and enjoy getting out. It is just that I particuarly want to walk the South Downs way this year. I am quite happy to do it myself but companions are always a bonus.

Anne Wood and I will begin this walk at the end of April from the Eastbourne end. Still happy to have companions for some if not all of the trip. If you are interested in joining us for something do pm. As long as you have your own boots and enjoy being out in the fresh air during the Spring, this may be for you.
