Susan, the other side of Springbridge Road has a carpark and Church, you may mean the other side of Uxbridge Road and the main shopping centre there? There was a Bentalls where Primark now is, as Sara points out, BUT before it moved there in the 80s (when that shopping centre opened) it was where Arcadia now is.And when Bentalls was where Arcadia is John Saunders Department store was where M&S now is and Daniels department store was up the road (a proper one not the reduced little one now) so 3 main department shops.Now we have Primark, TK Maxx, Morrisons due along with Metro Bank as Sara says how the mighty have fallen! Queen of suburbs? It's a shame as there are good shops too, and it's good to see Pret where Barratts was, Cote is good, Wagamamn and Ealing Green is lovely so it's a shame a few more decent shops, even chains like Hobbs, Jigsaw etc don't move in.
