Save our hospitals campaign

Public meeting on Wednesday 17 April at 7.45 Ruskin Hall, Church Road, Acton. Speakers include Andy Slaughter MP. Then a demonstration on Saturday 27 April : assemble Acton park 12.30 for a march and rally at Ealing Common from 2pm. Ealing Council have already insisted that the Government review their hospital closure plans. Now the community must unite to say "Hands off our hospitals!" Please join us.

Was a Charing Cross all morning and finally met charming but frazzled consultant who was in despair because neither he nor colleagues had been able to find a staffed bed for a critically ill woman who needed an operation like now. Nursing shortage, not enough beds across West London so wholly daft to close more. He thought the NHS was being dismantled wholesale.And it's not just policemen who are getting younger...When we met, I'd have put this guy at F2 at the outside. Ho Hum.

The stall which will be there this Saturday from 12 as well, is publicise the rally and demonstration coming up to save our hospitals. Pop by and say hello if you are passing - 12 till 1 Acton market.

The demonstration last September was about 5,000 strong and made the news. We need this one to be even bigger. Many of us are still fighting. Please join us.

Even if you are with BUPA, you still need the NHS.Like all insurance schemes, the cover is very limited. We have just what my husband gets through his employment as a teacher, and takes you almost nowhere!

Exactly!Frankly a bit of a waste of time. Though theoretically, if it's something really ghastly, it's supposed to cover more. But then you'd want NHS teamwork not free-market competition around you surely.
