Buxus planters stolen from doorstep

Hi there, we live in Maldon Road and have just returned from holiday to find that our two aluminium doorstep planters with small box bushes (dome-shaped) complete with little fairy lights have been stolen. If they have been thrown into your garden as a joke, or someone has tried to sell them to you pls let me know, and please check that your own planters are not easily removeable! My brother was house-sitting but unfortunately heard nothing.

Probably the early morning eastern europeans with supermarket trolleys that I chased up the road some time ago to rescue my plants.  When challenged, they just ran off and abandoned the trolley.......Suggest an outside security light might help.So there must be a second hand market in such things.  Let's all keep a look out for the planters at the local car boot sales.
