Freeview Box needed

Hi,does anyone happen to have an unused freeview box lying around that we could have or borrow for a while? There's only so many kids DVDs I can put up with a day. Our freeview finally conked out this morning and I don't have the funds to replace it right now. Thank you.

Many freeview box problems can be cured by removing the mains power for a few seconds, not just switching to standby and back

Thanks Chris. It's retuned itself everyday for the last couple of weeks. Frozen often. And this morning just wouldn't work at all. Have switched it off at the mains countless times. No joy at all.

If it has been unhappy for a while then it could be an aerial problem, and not so easy to check without a replacement box and/or a second (temporary) aerial. I do have a secondhand box that you could borrow, believed to have been working when it was given to me, and also a (dismantled) HUGE aerial with a length of feeder for testing.

Thank you Sara and Carl. Chris- Honestly don't think it's the aerial, it's an indoor aerial. I live in a flat.  The fact it's been playing up so much when it was fine before, we have had it for a a good few years.

Most indoor aerials struggle relative to a good outdoor roof aerial, and they still suffer from corroded and broken connections. A friend lived in a basement flat in a difficult reception area which was supposed to have a shared aerial feed, but it was faulty. Outdoor aerials were banned, so my huge aerial was used indoors until the shared aerial was fixed.
