Premises on Churchfield Road ?

Does anyone know who or what is moving into the large corner premises at the top of Churchfield Road on the left as you head towards Morrisons . The premises have a new lick of white paint and some visible large red lampshades ?

not sure - the place I am talking about is past Aston Rowe - the estate agents further up toward the Morrison end ...I was hoping for a restaurant or similar ...

I think you're talking about the old pub next to the graveyard - I thought it was going ot be another Estate Agent but I may be wrong.They do have some rather funky red lampshades in there though!Carl

Yes, it used to be Foley's pub. I am pretty sure it is going to be an estate agents, the colours would suggest Churchills, who are based opposite Homebase, however, I spoke to someone who is related to them and they denied knowing anything about it.

I was told Estate Agents too - earlier in the year - i thought City Deal were going in - but went past today and it didn't look like it.Exciting!

Asked workman yesterday and was told 'offices'.A large red lampshade inside may be a clue.

More exciting if a mystery business and not an extended Estate Agent (nothing against them mind, but how big an office can one need and it could be a lovely something else)

I just drove past and noticed frames going up in the window - the type that properties will be displayed on.  I too am sure that I read somewhere that it will be an estate agents.  Whilst estate agents will soon outnumber hairdressers in the Churchfield Road, the hungry agents will need somewhere to eat so this may bode well for all the new little coffee shops etc. opening up.

walked past last night and nosed into the window and saw a large open space with a glass fornted corner office. Looks like the finish is top end. I suspect therefore that it is an estate Agents (they seem to be spending lots on improving their facades of late), taking Aston Rowe as an example. Was also impressed to see a guy sitting in Aston Rowe at about 4:15 on a Sunday. I've often wondered why most agents don't open later/or at all on a Sunday, given it's a great time for people to view houses.Carl

More estate agents is often a sign that an area is 'up and coming'.  With new cafes, wine merchants and such, perhaps it's true!
