Desperately seeking a PT Job

After yet another 'bang head on desk' session at the job centre, I thought I'd try my luck here with you lovely people. I am desperate to find a job that is at least 16 hours a week so I can continue to home educate my daughter until she is more emotionally ready to start school. I need at least 4 hours a day.  So if you are looking for childcare of any sort, after school pick up until you get home or anything during the day. Or a cleaner, or both-I can multitask! Please consider me. I have heaps of childcare and cleaning experience and can provide references. ThanksApple

How about child-minding? I thought Ealing was always keen to have more registered.Does it have to be at home? I noticed Angela Malik had a notice on her door looking for help I think on a Saturday. But I didn't look at the details.

I did look at childminding a while ago Sara. My flat is not ideal-millions of stairs and a really weird layout. Plus there's trillions of childminders in the borough already. A friend who is an ex teacher and great with kids has really struggled to actually get kids to mind. Looking more at nannying/ helper type positions. Something I can take daughter with meI did see the ad in Angela Malik's window. Only Asian cooking experience I have is Thai red curry.

There must be people looking for after school/half term help if you are willing to go to their house. I had several helpers over the years as did friends. My daughter also earned some money picking up two kids after school, taking them home by public transport and looking after them until parents got home. Jobs like that never appear at the Job Centre. I think you are right to say something to this forum, and suggest you also do the same for Chiswick and Hammersmith. I know you have excellent refs and I think you would be a Godsend to some harassed mother. Wishing you well.

Have you thought about being a web-site moderator (google it).You are the person who gets paid to moderate all the blogs etc to make sure anything abusive gets taken down quickly.You can work from home and work part-time.

When someone else I know did it, it was wholly from home with the very occasional meeting.You choose your hours and get paid with a (not very big)retainer and then on the basis of ads sales - or that's how it used to work.look at front page for email details or support@neighbournet might do it.
