Another Development Eat Churchfield road please voice your opinion
Hi AllApologies in advance if you've received this in error or if you've already commented on the above application. The following appeared on a lamp post on East Churchfield Rd at the end of last week. I see we have only until this coming Monday 29th April to make any comments. Most of you will be aware of it, but it you're not, it consists of a new 5 storey block comprising 18 x 1,2 and 3 bed flats alongside the station on East Churchfield Road. Aside from the fact that it's a pretty ugly building, and 5 storeys high (thus higher than existing builds) according to the application document, there is no provision for parking, except for 2 visitor spaces. The document clearly states that no parking permits will be available to residents. My experience of this type of 'no parking' build is that either families that rely on a car are turned off and the development attracts investors only (thus a high number of short term rental and transitory residents with little interest in community affairs) OR the council eventually caves in and gives residents parking permits anyway, resulting in a squeeze on existing places. The page:http://gis.ealing.gov.uk/webreports/planning/planning_weekly_Detail_results.asp?txtPlanRefNo=PP/2013/1074The link to comment (you'll need to follow a further link)http://www.pam.ealing.gov.uk/portal/servlets/ApplicationSearchServlet?PKID=158272&ReturnURL=http://gis.ealing.gov.uk/webreports/planning_results.asp?cmdSearch=Find+Application&txtPlanRefNo=PP/2013/1074
