Luton airport to Acton?

I have a friend flying in to Luton airport this week and she's coming to stay with us in Acton. Does anyone know the best way for her to get here by public transport? Do they have coaches to bring people in to London? Thanks!

I've taken the National Express from Luton to Finchley Road, and then gotten the overground from there to Acton Central in the past. It doesn't take too long.

As long as you get to the Overground before the ridiculously early time the trains stop running!

True. Staying on the bus until Marble Arch and then getting the N207 is also an option.

The Overground station is called FINCHLEY ROAD & FROGNAL it is about 300yds before Finchley Road underground.Ask the coach driver to drop off at the overground.

Easybus also do cheap transfers to and from all airports.  Their prices start at £2.99 one way (if you book in advance)and you do not have to fly with EasyJet to take advantage of the transfer.

Sara,The last train from Finchley Road to Acton Central is 23.44 and to Willesden Junction it is 00.14, not really that early. The service runs later now than it used to.

Bit late, but for future reference, the way I always do it is to get the shuttle bus from the airport (used to be free) to Luton Airport Parkway then the train straight to West Hampstead and change to the overland.  Really easy and no messing about.The trains from Luton Airport Parkway to West Hampstead run more or less 24 hours, so worst case scenario, if you miss the last Overground, you can get a cab from West Hampstead to Acton.
