One Way System - What is happening?

Plans were afoot for a one way system along Grafton Road, Acton.On 15 April orange barriers were deposited on the pavement outside Mr Patel's newsagent on the corner of Grafton Road/Horn Lane.A sign was erected on the same day stating that work would commence on 15 April for 4 weeks.Nothing happened since then but now the sign has simply disappeared, although the orange barriers are all lying on the pavement still.Has anyone got any idea what is happening and why the delay?

Something similar happened for Princes Avenue/Park Drive a couple of years ago. One way signs were erected. Then covered in black sheeting. Then disappeared altogether.

I tweeted councillors Mahfouz and Crawford to ask and the latter says he is trying to resolve some objections.But neither mentioned when work would actually start.

Thanks Sara, Mr Patel, the newsagent, was wondering what was going on.They left road signs and orange dividers etc just outside his shop but nothing happened!

No idea Sara.Apparently the sign stating that roadworks would begin was removed - very odd!
