Vue cinema tickets £5.95

I went to see the new Star Trek movie tonight. Loved every minute of it - except the price. £12.20 each!! ouch!But they were promoting their new low price Tuesdays. Tickets from £5.95 (up to 10 people).Just complete the form and get a pass.Great idea as Tuesdays are a boring day of the week.www.myvue/supersavertuesday

I've already availed myself of this concession several times. It's a good deal. Doesn't apply to premium seats or 3D, though, for which you will have to pay extra. I think your film must have been one or both of these to cost so much.

The movie was OK - and it was a lot of screen time.But tickets for two on Sunday (and I'm not free Tuesday) were over £26.Which might be OK in better surroundings. But Acton Vue is frankly shabby, the loos are grimy and untidy and the general offer scruffy.Which is why we only see the big 3D ones there. In fact, we couldn't remember our last visit. Give me a Curzon, the Lexy or Watermans any time.

You went to see Star Trek, Sara? I'm amazed.I saw the 2D version as it didn't seem worth shelling out extra. My big problem with it was the lack of jeopardy, given that we know that Kirk, Spock et al survive to do their five-year mission.

I did not! As you well know.I went to The Great Gatsby (predictably) not sure 3D even added much except to the cost

You can see how my confusion arose when you said, 'The movie was OK', when the only film that had been mentioned on this thread was Star Trek.
