The nicely refurbished bridge at Acton Vale is a sorry sight now as vandals have covered each side of the bridge with graffiti!Last time this happened it took AGES to have the graffiti removed.I wonder why they didn't use anti-climb paint to stop this happening again?

I thought we were told - after the letters were vandalised really early on - that there was going to be anti-climb paint and protective iron-work installed.Or was I dreaming?

Best thing to do is to get it removed straight away - broken windows theory and all that.  Even if we have to do it again and again.  Sooner or later they will get fed-up.  That's been proven around the rest of Acton.Who removed the graffiti in the first place?

Think it was the council - but the problem is always that its owned by Network Rail who could not be called either pro-active or co-operative about this sort of stuff.

I thought they were going to use anti-climb paint last time?Also I think there is a product on the market where the graffiti will just wash off in the rain, or am I mistaken?If you look at the area next to the bridge it is easy for someone to climb as there is a cable box or similar then one would just have to climb up the slope to reach the bridge. I am presuming this would be done by someone more agile then me! Where there is a will there is a way. but preventative action would surely be better in order to improve the area. Graffiti brings down the whole tone of Acton in my opinion.There was some dispute last time between the railway owners and the Council. Maybe this time they will get the problem sorted out quickly? I live in hope.

Boris Johnson should issue a dictat to Network Rail to deal with graffiti on their properties within one week of being reported to a special email address .....That would do the trick
