Baby bird needs help.

If anyone in the Cumberland rd area can help a little baby bird (magpie I think) it's by the foot of the tree outside no 41/43. I felt awful when I spotted it but I had to be somewhere and was already running a bit late. I managed to get it out of the gutter without handling so it didn't get squished by a car, and covered it slightly with a tea bag box but I didn't know what else to do/who to call.

Nature can very cruel. For the local foxes, magpie, Kentucky Fried Chicken, they're not that fussy.

Thanks for that Fred. That's really cheered me up. Hopefully someone will get to it before a fox does. If not i guess like you said, it's just natures way.

I'm good with the abandoned and fledglings, but, I draw the line at magpies and crows.  It's always best to leave alone but, observe, just in case the adults are around.  Thrushes are experts in dive bombing.

Good news. It's been taken the vets-thank you to the lady that emailed me, being looked after and taken to a sanctuary. It had some bite on it.

Thanks Apple for having a heart and caring about your local wildlife. Sorry you had to deal with some crass and ignorant comments on here, I'd rather save a crow or magpie (highly intelligent birds)  than some of the bird brains  on here usually nesting in churchfield Rd who think that they are sooo clever. You did good Apple!
