Drinking in Poet's Corner community garden

I thought I would see how the garden grows on Thursday evening - after all that rain and late spring. But when I neared, it sounded very noisy and, once there, I really couldn't go in as it was full of a fairly raucous group of about seven young(ish), large(ish) chaps drinking a lot of beer and speaking very foreign... I didn't realise this was a favoured spot for al fresco drinking.Is it frequent and do the neighbours mind?

I don't think it's frequent. There's usually one or two teenagers hanging around there whenever I walk past. but nothing like you've described . . . . . . but, . . . . . there are a lot of loft conversions and house renovations happening around (the ever popular) Poets Corners at the moment.My guess is, the chaps you saw in the community garden might have been builders.

At 2115?I know Aston Rowe was still throbbing at that time, and the pubs. But it was sort of late for a work break.
