Meeting Horn Ln. Industrial site at 16.30 Fri 12 July 2013

Angie Bray, Environment Agency, Ealing council and Mayors office will be at the site on Friday 12 July at 16.30, in an effort to resolve the pollution that this murderous site is inflicting on us the residents.Wonder if any of our pathetic Councillors will bother turning up to give support to any residents objecting to the site.  I bloody doubt it.

Wasn't that November suggestion that the Horn Lane site relocates to Park Royal ? This latest consultation is about the waste sites near Old Oak/ Willesden Junction move somewhere else. And Horn Lane is outside the area being considered.Double standards ?

The acton main line station area has great potential for redevelopment, ie housing shops small office units, and therefore a source of income for the council.  Bearing in mind crossrail.  All that is needed is for all the dirty businesses who I understand do not have permission to be there to be given notice to quit.  It is then for those businesses to find new locations for their operations. But of course these are very large companies with influence in political circles.  The way to break this down perhaps is by resident protest.  No votes for you lads if you don't move all this filthy stuff away from where we live!

Sounds like there is corruption between political circles and this filthy site.  Grease my palm with wonger.My concern is, that the operators on the site are going to be well prepared for this visit, so everything is going to be in order, such as G&P are going to have water everywhere and, obeying the rules.  Well Countess Nikki can be very sneaky, when it comes to photos, so depending on health and pollution, I will be there, before the proposed time, well before.

The front page of Actonw3.com links to a summary of an Environment Agency press release. The full version is available athttp://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/news/148553.aspx?month=7&year=2013&coverage=South+EastMuch of it appears to me to be recycled from the time when Angie Bray last raised the matter in Parliament.The Chris Lowe statement “Partnership members have regular meetings with residents and with the local MP, Angie Bray, to inform them of the work and what we are doing to help the area reach air quality targets." doesn't define his understanding of what frequency is implied by the word "regular".I wonder if more information will come out on Friday.

After weeks of high "Red" recordings, I note that the Horn Lane readings are now magically down to Green 2s & 3s.Friday's impending visit couldn't possibly have anything to do with it?!!!Or perhaps it's because the wind direction is currently to the Estate's advantage, and forecast to remain that way until at least Saturday.Either way, if the visitors have half decent eyesight they can't fail to notice the caked on filth & grime on the street furniture, shop fronts & cars along the Parade.

So, we have exceeded the EU legal limits for the year by 11 days, so far.Rosco, If I can, I will focus on G&P and the Hanson expansion, plus working on Sunday.  The two main targets.

I think you need as much press coverage on this as you can get. ES might be interested in this as a brief news piece in the paper or a bigger story on their website.You could issue a press release afterwards to the mags suggested & ES, setting out what residents are demanding, background, and with a comment from Angie Bray. That might get picked up, especially if you include Angie's contact details for more info and quotes. You could email it to each mag in the days afterwards. Very easy to do.The firms concerned will not want adverse press coverage of any sort.
