Update Noise to continue Nr Acton House Horn Lane
27 June 2013Dear Neighbour,Update:Crossrail works near Acton House Horn Lane, 29 June – end of July 2013We are writing to inform you about works due to take place in the Network Rail compound next to Acton House over the coming weeksWe need to install a new substation near the current substationin the compound and over the coming weeks will be clearing the ground and preparing for the new unit.On Saturday night an excavator will be delivered on site. We will then be working on Monday and Tuesday between 08:00 and 17.30to break up the concrete and level the area.Due to the nature of this work it may produce some noise for residents.On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday we will undertake some trial holes and ground surveys, which should produce less noise.On Sunday 7 July we will be working from 00:01 to 09:00 to remove the excess soiland materials we have excavated. This work has to take place at night due to the close proximity of the dumper to thetracks. After this work we will be on site for three weeks to construct the base for the substation. We will be working during the week between 08:00 and 17:30 to do this work.We plan to install the substation itself on the weekend of 3 & 4 August 2013.
