Acton Carnival - can more be done to make it accessible to the community?
I've seen the carnival as an event that takes place, but I've only been involved in terms of picking up litter as a volunteer one year, exhibiting nests made by the children in my Art workshop another year, and being a visitor. I saw the ad, I responded asking to be contacted should any group need a helping hand and . . . that was it. No further contact. I asked TWICE. This is not a rampage about feeling hurt, it's not about me because I'm wondering if I'm the only person to have had this experience? How can I be part of a community event if communication breaks down? Sorry, but there's only so many times I shall put myself forward.Cheers.
