What has happened to: http://www.ealingair.org.uk/AirQuality/LatestReadings.aspx

Has the monitoring site on Horn Ln, broken down from heat stroke, or are the Council afraid to let us know the true figures for pollution, especially the PM 10 levels.  It's been out of action now for two days.

Unfortunately the King's College londonair site that hosts the Council data is having maintenance work done. Their home page just comes up with :Due to electrical mantenance work at King's College London Waterloo campus, this website is likely to be unavailable from about 6pm Friday July 5th to 8am Monday July 8th. We apologise for the interruption to the service.A shame it corresponds with summer smog time.Data from other London monitors which use the (inferior) Air Quality England site are available athttp://www.airqualityengland.co.uk/

I see that King's College are now back online.Interesting to see from their statistics page for Horn Lane, that the number of "bad air days" for PM10 is now standing at 46 - it was only 36 when mentioned in the Horn Lane debate on 25th June. The northeast winds must be helping keep the recorded levels down at the moment . Likely to stay that way for the big visit on Friday ?

Likely to stay that way for the big visit on Friday?"Presumably the various site operators are making frantic efforts to clean up and to cancel lots of work/traffic movements for Thurs & Fri so the air and site are fresh as daisies on that day.
