Goldsmith Ave/Grafton Road

No black bags taken. Has anyone reported this? Just got home from work so didn't realise before now and of course Ealing Council customer services not available now. Unacceptable.

Food waste also not taken.Have Enterprise taken a leaf out of British Rails book:(1) We may be late, but we get there in the end!(2) Wrong kind of heat!What ever the excuse, our collection day for all rubbish is, Thursday, not when they feel like it.

We had some rats on Grafton a few weeks ago . Now thankfully all seem to have gone BUT this will just encourage them backWho do we complain to ?

My ref number from first thing this morning for black bags is: 152 157; complaint ref is 152 159. Also spoke to Council tax department to see if we get a reduction for opting out of refuse collection. It isn't possible/legal to do that, but the supervisor I spoke to in that department was apologetic and said he would talk to someone about it. Still no sign of Enterprise to take away the bags. Have also reported to Fixmystreet.

It's about time our councillors started to panic and do something.You Jest!  They think we will forget they are useless, and their seats are safe.  Just hope they have a plan B, unless they stand in another Ward.  DC needs to clear off pdq.2:45pm and no sign of Enterprise.

That's the second week running. In this weather it's really not good enough.It's not the sort of thing our councillors seem in any way interested in - though some of the nearby LibDems have taken up the cudgels. Maybe (both ways) because it was a Labour council that decided to take on the wholly useless new contractor

"So" (as seems to be the modern way to start a sentance) now that "Amey" owns "Enterprise" and has just won the contract for Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea and Hammersmith and Fulham will things get any better ?

To offer the flip side of the public flogging of the waste collection agency, I only had one of the two rubbish bags I had left out collected last Wednesday. I completed the online complaint form on Thursday afternoon, and Saturday morning two nice guys came and knocked on the buzzer and took the bag away - very impressed.Carl

We had a collection lorry down our way on Friday.They collect in this area on Mondays and Tuesdays.  I just wondered if he was lost!

I don't understand why that impresses you. It would impress me if Enterprise picked up our rubbish on the day they were supposed to instead of leaving it festering outside.

A reminder.....if you are paying your Council Tax you are paying for an efficient refuse collection service - not an inefficient one.

Another week, another missed collection. This time it's the black bag and the plastic containers. It's surely the most basic task for a council to perform efficiently. I wonder whether taking my lone black bag to Percival house and asking where they would like me to put it would make a difference. Apparently if three collections in a row are missed they do some sort of enquiry. I wonder what the result of that enquiry would be.

Our green box and food went really early - I thought black bags just leaving. But did plastics not go? I have found a tweety person at the council who says she will chase if it hasn't gone again...Should I contact her CLARE ?

No it's fine - someone came and picked everything up this morning. However, because the rubbish was left for 24 hours or so longer than necessary, there's more rubbish strewn around than normal so we could do with a street clean. Shall I ask for one or will you? Am I the only one who finds this relaxed attitude to timetables unacceptable?By the way, the man who came this morning to take everything said it was the third week in a row. If that's true we should do a formal complaint but as I wasn't here on 11th I don't know. Anyone else notice anything?

They get extra if they have to revisit but the cost is born by Enterprise. Good wheeze though ?

Yup, it's now three weeks of excellence in the useless department of refuse collection.On 25/7 Enterprise came along Grafton at 6pm, took some black bags from inside the boundaries of property but, left the bags that were on the pavement.  Oh such logic. Remainder were cleared today, along with the plastics.  It's about time the sweepers did what they are supposed to do, and that is, sweep the roads, before we become a landfill site.  Food bins were left for two weeks.Question:  Did Enterprise get the contract by deception, or incompetence?Just going off point, I've heard that a certain councillor is to be promoted to Head of Planning for the borough.  Not sure how true it is, but, More Great Betrayal!

More questions than that Nikki.Was the contract good enough to start with?Why is it that it is Acton that is having such a lot of trouble?Bags shouldn't be left on the pavement - is that why they were left?Are they breaking the system so that they can start a new one and claim the greatest success rate ever since the beginning of time, hoping that nobody will remember that it actually worked quite well except for a few lazy people and some whose landlords didn't provide bins and binspace?

Indeed black bags and any other items should not be put on the pavement, this contravenes the Highways Act for which those responsible can be prosecuted.All waste should be left on the frontage of your property from where the Council is contracted to collect it.Obviously enforcement is required to stop this unsocial behaviour which is dangerous for the blind and disabled.

Interestingly the refuse collectors appear to be collecting the rubbish from frontages and NOT that put out on the pavement.Perhaps the Council's Enforcement Dept will be issuing fixed penality tickets to those anti-social residents who continue to put their bags on the pavement.You have been warned.  Put your refuse out ONLY on your frontage for collection.

Council activist - found on twitter - says she has spoken to enterprise's new owners (Amey) who have promised to sort Goldsmith Avenue and Grafton rubbish and recycling - so lets see how tomorrow goes...
