Moths galore past few weeks, anyone else affected/noticed?

It's probably the result of an unusual combination of weather events because I haven't experienced this ever before. For over two weeks now the house has had an inordinate number of moths flying around.They're average sized and hopefully not the ones which lay eggs whose larvae eat your cashmere etc! I think the cashmere eaters are quite a bit smaller?Anyway, anyone else affected???

My suggestion is to firstly look for tell-tell signs in your kitchen, areas were you store nuts,  porage oats etc. Do moths fly out of any cupboards?Are there small larvae worms crawling or hanging from the ceiling? The heat does certainly activate the flight of moths.  Do check cereal boxes and look for mini cobwebs. Keep cereals in top quality sealed  and transparent containers.

Many thanks Jim, seems no-one else is affected and it's not a local/London summer "plague" as I suspected.I always keep everything in airtight containers so am baffled and will have to investigate further.

Actually, we've had quite a few.  I'm particularly paranoid as in our old house we had it bad and I lost a LOT of clothes, so I've been spraying and smacking all over the house.

I've got Angle Shade hawk moths.  Pretty and harmless.
