Didn't know about the meeting with our MP.THE CCA exec and four other local engaged people met the developers at our executive meeting last Tuesday. They said definitely 9 not 11 storey tower. I was very disappointed at the tower moving back onto Churchfield Road and will definitely be objecting to that. Justified by the developers as Berrymead residents objectingto the more central plan (though I have never heard a single compliant of that sort and, positioned where it now is, it disadvantages Churchfield Road, Nemoure and Derwentwater - which I would think trumps - but who knows.)It's still an over-developed gated community with now through access - which was one of the pre-requisites in the original spec. But with 22% "affordable" housing presumably the riff-raff are inside ans well as out.Even though Fitness First has gone under - as has its successor - that part of the Oaks won't be redeveloped in spite of that offering a real opportunity for having the through access. I don't really understand the rationale of the developers - even after several meetings - apart from the obvious profit motive.
