A second letter just dropped through my letterbox, which I am also posting as the first was not widely received**************Notting Hill Housing OwnershipBruce Kenrick House, 2 Killick Street, London N1 9FLt 020 8357 5000www.nottinghillhousing.org.uk24 September 2013Dear NeighbourInvitation to meet Notting Hill Housing on 10 October at the Ramada EncoreNotting Hill Housing invites you to attend the consultation launch event on 10 October at the Ramada Encore on Western Avenue (access from Portal Way) between 3 and 8pm.We are holding this event to introduce ourselves and to hear the local community's views about the five sites we recently purchased along Western Avenue (A40). There will be an opportunity to speak to the development team, including Notting Hill Housing, bptw, the architects, CgMS, planning consultants and Allen Pyke, our landscape architects. We are looking for input from the community ahead of drawing up our housing proposals for the sites. Notting Hill Housing has purchased the five sites along the A40, Western Avenue, in Ealing to deliver much-needed, high quality housing. There will be affordable and market housing ranging from apartments to larger homes for families. The sites are as follows:- Three sites between Kathleen Avenue and Park View, intercepted by Allan Way and Court Way - Two sites between Gibbon Road and Glendun Road, intercepted by Foster Road. Through excellent and innovative design, our vision is to create new homes that complement the surrounding residential area while enhancing the green corridor with landscaping and new cycle and pedestrian routes. We will ensure that good environmental standards are achieved for existing and new residents to make this a safe and healthy place to live. These sites have been empty for some time as the previous housing was demolished to make way for an earlier Transport for London proposal to widen the A40. This scheme is no longer taking place and Ealing Council is in the process of reallocating the sites for new homes. We are already improving the sites by clearing scrub and removing any outstanding derelict buildings. The Ramada Encore has parking available, accessed from Portal Way, and is a five minute walk from North Acton Underground Station and Acton Main Line station. If you are unable to attend but would like further information, please do contact our communications team on 0800 542 7191 or by email info@westernavenuesites.co.uk.
