Had a pint in the G&D yesterday for the first time in a couple of years and I had forgotten what a great pub it is. Lovely building, great staff and a really good selection of beers in bottle and on draft. Great easy vibe. Note to self - must go here more.

I was in there with friends on Sat evening/morning after the Ealing Jazz Festival. Had a couple of pints of Erdinger Weissbier. There is also a resident black cat! Saw him/her wander in and plonk itself in one of the bar stoll and fall asleep. It was 1am though.Mate thinks its like the Tardis with all the nooks and crannies.

And apparently they are starting a micro-brewery in the back! (The cat - George - had the best seat in the bar when I was there).

Had our wedding reception at the George and dragon (Sept' 1963)after service at All Saints, Bollo bridge road.it seems George outlived my marriage despite the dragon. Good on yer george, I'll stop by for a pint next time i'm in England. be happy,Dave hayden.

open to suggestion, we are working on that currently, was thinking Dragon Brewery originally, having second thoughts maybe "OAK TOWN" LONDON BREWERY, suggestions well received, maybe a competition, get the Gallery involved?
Great idea! Maybe make it a competition to name the beer? And the winner wins their weight in pints? Or something... Whatever, there is certainly lots of opportunity to have some fun, raise the profile and get it on the map.
Would anyone have details on the Rhythm & Blues club that was in the G & D in the mid 1960's. Or know if Ray Clarke is still around. Wanting photographs of the ART WOOD COMBO playing there. Were any recordings ever made there ?Any info at all appreciated. Thanks, Tonyantfreer@yahoo.ca
