We have finally got all the way from Eastbourne to Winchester (just outside if you want to be technical). It was a splendid project and worked so well, we are thinking of beginning a winter project of walking the Thames Path. We usually walk on Sundays, probably every second Sunday or so, and this time might plan a bit in advance. We won't begin until mid October, and if you would like to join us or try it out, pm me. If you don't usually walk, please think of collecting good footware (slippy and uneven ground in places) a properly waterproof coat and possibly trousers, and a day pack which is comfortable enough to wear for several hours. Children who are willing to walk are welcome, as are people who don't usually walk but would like to try walking part of the way. We will be taking note of good pubs and will be using public transport to get to the beginning of every walk, so all advice most welcome. Cheers for the winter walkers.
