Acton Yard Crossrail Works: Information Bulletin(Saturday 10 August – Friday 6 September 2013)Below covers the works scheduled to take place over the next four weeks. All works highlightedin red are the particularly noisy night works which residents may notice. The information ofworks for the week commencing Saturday 10 August supersedes the information in the lastbulletin sent to residents.Saturday 10 August to Friday 16 AugustSunday (00.01 - 10.00) Piling for overhead line equipment by Noel Road Bridgeand to the west opposite Oakley Avenue. This involvesdriving tubular steel piles into the ground and is likely togenerate some hammering noise and possible vibration.Monday to Friday (08.00 -18.00)Saturday (08.00 -18.00)Sunday (09.00 -18.00)Piling for diveunder to the east and directly beneathNoel Road Bridge. This involves drilling into the ground toform the foundations for the diveunder structure. Thetechnique used is a continuous drill rather than ahammering process which will reduce noise and vibration toneighbours.Monday to Friday (08.00 -18.00)Saturday (08.00 -13.00)Works by the tracks opposite Oakley House. This willinclude the construction of a shaft, deliveries and theremoval of excavated material.Night-time(23.55 -05.00)Overhead line cable works will take place during weeknights along the track. Residents may notice machinery onthe track.Saturday 17 August to Friday 23 AugustSunday -Thursday (00.00 - 06.00) Piling to the west of Noel Road Bridge, opposite OakleyAvenue. This involves vibrating steel piles into the groundand may generate limited noise and vibration. This methodis considerably quieter than traditional hammer piling.Monday to Friday (08.00 – 18.00)Saturday (08.00 – 18.00)Sunday (09.00 – 18.00)Piling for diveunder: This involves drilling into the groundto form the foundations for the diveunder structure. Thetechnique used is a continuous drill rather than ahammering process which will reduce noise & vibration toneighbours. Work is taking place to the east and directlybeneath Noel Road Bridge.Vibratory sheet piling will also continue in the day time tothe west of Noel Road bridge.Monday to Friday(08.00 – 18.00)Saturday (08.00 – 13.00)Works by the tracks opposite Oakley House.
