"The traffic backs up from the lights at the Gunnersbury Lane junction and traffic blocks entry to the roundabout."It's because a lot of people have no idea what to do on a roundabout! You're not supposed to go onto a roundabout unless your exit is clear, but once one person does it, everybody follows suit and the system is screwed. Drives me mad... that an the fact that not many people know the "give way to the right" rule.That said, I'm yet to try the new roundabout. I look forward to it - I am a fan of replacing lights with roundabouts (ha, famous last words maybe?).
