Crossrail works - Acton Main Line/Horn Lane
There is no piling work this weekend, during this Saturday night/Sunday morning the team will be using lifting into place the overhead line booms (the structures that support the overhead line wires) along the track. This should not create much noise, but residents closest to the railway may notice machinery on the tracks. Next weekend on Saturday night/Sunday morning we will be undertaking some vibration piling east of Noel Road Bridge, opposite Oakley House. This is a different type of piling than the hammer method, which has previously disturbed some residents. It will vibrate the piles into place rather than using the hammer method and therefore should not be heard. The work in this email supersedes what was included in the bulletin we sent to residents.
