Raising awareness of Type 2 diabetes
Interesting article on the front page.It is good to see that more attention is being paid to raising awareness of this growing problem.We have found that in a hospital situation (not Ealing) there was always someone to test blood sugar regularly but then once home it was weeks and months before any space was available in a diabetic clinic. There was/is no time for staff to commiserate over complications brought on through diabetes - as they considered it self-inflicted. MIL age 90 started to have to inject herself with insulin.You don't know how long you'll live. Find out about it and its complications and do something before it gets you!
