Has anybody been there? We are going there in December for a few days. Any suggestions for 'must do' trips, jazz clubs etc. thanks

I went there at Easter with my cousin and a friend absolutely LOVED it; the food and the music were amazing. We took a Ghost Tour (we chose one that had a couple of ghosty things as well as real-life stories about murders etc.) and a boat trip to the swamps for some alligator spotting. Top Tip though would be to avoid Bourbon Street (other than for a quick walk-through) as it is completely over-touristy (reminded me of a Benidorm/Kiss-Me-Quick type resort with everyone heckling you from outside their clubs to come inside). Instead, I would definitely recommend heading to Frenchman Street; loads of great bars and fantastic live music. :)
