Winter walking project Thames path.
Kicked off yesterday with a walk from Albert Bridge (the MI6 building) along to Canery Warf. Almost section 2 of the Thames path. Lovely walking weather with lots to see and lots to eat and drink as we passed. We bravely walked past the Mayflower pub where the Pilgrim Fathers gathered to plan their trip to the New world and stopped further down for glasses of cider in a South African sports bar which sadly also sold chips with cheese. We didn't quite make it to Greenwich as one of us had to attend a concert. Enjoyed it so much we will probably walk that stretch again later on with more people. Came back to Embankment station by River bus, an additional treat. Tickets are only another Oyster card purchase.I keep worrying I miss individuals who want to be informed about the walks, so am asking everyone interested to join the closed Facebook group which will post dates, places to eat, photos and so on. PM me for how to join this group. If you dislike Facebook, you need only have a nominal profile to join a group. Please join as I don't think I can pick up writing e mails and reminders to a larger group. Thanks in advance.
