A great little find in Acton

For any of you needing packing material, like boxes, bubble wrap, bio-degradable peanuts, tissue paper, tape etc., then I have found a real gem of a place.Acorn Trading Company on Shakespeare Road sell everything you could ever need for shipping, moving, packing etc. The quality of their goods is excellent - like double walled cardboard boxes (all sizes) and they are much cheaper than many other places. You can buy small or large quantities. I recently helped someone move house and I wish I would have heard about them then. Only found out when we were putting stuff in storage. Have you seen this cardboard packaging - it looks as though it has been cut with a lattice cutter (as you might cut pastry).  I bought something from a company where they appeared to be reusing some of their incoming cardboard boxes like this. (They still had the incoming addresses on them.)  It makes it flexible so good to wrap around things. Thank you for that contact Marlene.I seem to have been handling card and cardboard nearly all my working life..especially after the die cutting process..leaving things to be folded and glued, origamied or assembled somehow.This blog caught my eye as I was seeking the name of that cardboard matting type filler.http://www.ikatbag.com/2011/03/how-to-work-with-cardboard.html

Good websites there - and an interesting charity.There's a lot of furniture being made in cardboard nowadays with a wide range of designs.
